In loving memory
Born Winnipeg, Manitoba July 26, 1935. Passed away peacefully on March 2, 2022 at the Chemainus Palliative Care after a valiant fight against cancer.
Stan was predeceased by an infant daughter, Lara, parents, in laws, brothers Ray and George and sister Freda.
Stan is survived by his wife of 55 years, Doris, his sons Dennis(Cindy) Harvey(Linda) and Owen(Tara), grandchildren Tyler(Kelsey), Tanya, and Corinne(Kris), his sisters Doreen and Barbara and Brother-in-law Lorne(Patsy) and many nieces and nephews.
Stan graduated from Cowichan Secondary and went on to Normal School in Victoria.
He taught at Hazelton and Red Rose Mine up north and worked at Bamberton, Falts, and various booming grounds around B.C. He also horse logged with his brother George.
He started at Crofton Pulp Mill in July 1959 and retired as Superintendent in July 1995.
Stan loved to read, travel, cook and enjoy all his friends on his journey. He was a master of disguise and growing tomatoes.
Stan was a founding member of Probus Club of Ladysmith to which he belonged to the present time.
After receiving his Valentine this year, he dictated a message;
"To my family, I love you all very much.
It is very difficult to let go!"

We will love you for now and forever.
