In Loving Memory ~
Stanley passed away at Discovery Harbour Care Centre, Campbell River on January 6, 2022.
He was predeceased by his parents and all his eight siblings.
Stanley is survived by his loving spouse of 75 years, Irene Embury; sons Tom Embury (Jo-Anne), Lawrence Embury (Terri); daughter Sheila McLoughlin (Mike); grandchildren Jeanette, David, Shaun, Brian, Steven; great grandchildren: Seven, Fiona, Avery, Beckett, Livia; nieces and nephews: Stanley has many nieces and nephews and was loving known as Uncle Stan.
Stanley joined the Independent Order of Foresters in 1962 and held various positions including Chief Ranger and High Court Officer. He was also a member of the Daybreak Rotary Club. He was a Scoutmaster for 4 years for the Boy Scouts.
Stanley worked for C.P. Transport for 38 years, retiring as manager of the C.P. depot in Campbell River in 1985. In his leisure he loved camping and gardening.
Stanley was born in Kamloops, B.C. and married the love of his life, Irene, in 1946. He moved to Campbell River in 1966. He was very kind, social and energetic and loved a good laugh. He was well known and liked by the community and much loved by his family.
Private cremation arrangements. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in his memory to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
