Sharon was born on February 4, 1939 in Hudson Bay Saskatchewan. Sharon spent her formative years growing up with 4 brothers and a sister on the family farm in Hudson Bay. There she met and married the love of her life, Grant in 1960. After various moves, taking them to Manitoba and Alberta, they settled in Nanaimo, BC and raised their two children, Garth and Laura.
