Joan passed away on December 1, 2019, in Comox B.C. Predeceased by her husband Henry Joseph Schiller, daughter Gayle and sister Gwen, Joan is survived by her daughter Lynette (Ron) McLeod, son-in- law Jim Creighton, grandchildren Matthew Creighton, Kerri (Jeremy) Waugh, Nicholas Creighton, Bonnie (Jeff ) Schouwstra and Stewart (Karen) McLeod, great-grandchildren Evan and Graeme McLeod, Ean and Isabelle Schouwstra, Riley Creighton and Jack and Charlotte Waugh; sisters Myrna (Ken) and Nancy (Dave) as well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will take place in the spring. For those wishing, donations in Joan's memory to Y.A.N.A. would be appreciated.
