In Loving Memory ~ It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sandra Willis at home on September 3rd after a lengthy illness.
Sandra was predeceased by her parents Rena and Cecil. Left to mourn are her beloved husband of 57 years, David "Satch", son Darren, daughter Vicki, granddaughters Ashtyn and Cierra, along with her siblings Brett, Vicki, Neil, Robert and Jim, and their families.
Born in Port Alberni in 1943, Sandra was a proud and active community member, serving in many volunteer roles; Chairman of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission; Kidsport Canada; P.A. Golf Classics; Alberni Valley Track Club; and Thunder in the Valley drag races. She devoted years in multiple roles within the local and B.C. Kinsmen and Kinette Association and was awarded a Life membership (its highest honour) in 1987.
Sandra enjoyed her career of many years as bookkeeper for the local Chevrolet dealership, time spent with family and friends, and travel... of which Maui became a regular favourite.
There will be no service by her request. Cremation has taken place and a gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date to celebrate her life.
