We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Russell. He would have been 53 years old on September 29th.
Predeceased by his dad Dahle. Russ is survived by his mom Claire (Gord), brothers Arnie (Bev), Gary, his daughter Claire, and her mom Anita. He will also be sadly missed by numerous cousins, his aunts and uncles, grandmother Hazel (102 year old!) and many friends.
Russ grew up in North Cowichan with his beloved mom, dad, and brothers on the family farm. He attended Somenos, Prevost, and Cowichan Secondary Schools. He cherished the lifelong friendships he made and the "Russell Antics" will always be remembered.
Russ was athletic, funny, hardworking, spontaneous, and truly original. His back flipping skills were legendary. Tearing up the track at the sand drags, 4x4ing, dirt biking Mount Prevost, Henslowe stock car races on the farm, or gathering with friends and family, he was always entertaining!
Claire was the love of Russell's life, and pride and joy. All their years together at his house, sea-dooing, camping, skiing, and being with her Dad and his friends are memories she treasures.
Russell and Claire's bond never waivered, and was never broken. Claire's unconditional love for her Dad inspired us all.
We will always love you Russell...
