A loving husband, father, grandfather & great grandfather, Roy passed away peacefully after a long struggle with dementia at the age of 88.
Roy as many know was the owner of the Sharpening Shop for many years and worked also with the Campbell River Fire protection District and Water Board as well as his Church and Choir.
He is survived by his sons Bob, Alan, wife Karalee, David, wife Brenda, grandchildren Lauren, Shannon, Steven, Mathew, Melissa, Nick, Amber and great grandchildren Emma, Liam & Oliver.
At 18, Roy boarded the Queen Mary and came to Canada from his native England to start a New life and soon after met his beloved wife Bert who he spent over 50 years of wedded bliss with.
The consummate father and husband always putting family and community first, Roy was a shining example of what being a Great Man meant for all that knew him. He now rejoins Bert, his True Love who passed before him.
Based on the families concerns with the Covid 19 pandemic, a service will be announced at a later date.
Rest in Eternal Peace.
