It is with great sadness and love we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandma and great-grandma, Rosemary Polling, on December 10th, 2017.

Rosemary is survived by her two daughters, Jan (and Alan), and Amanda (and Daryl); grandchildren, Jamie, Aaron, Annalisa, Brittany and Cassandra; and great-grandchildren, Samuel, Miller, Clarke, Hudson, Ashford, Isaac and Hannah.

Rosemary was predeceased by her husband Roy Miller Polling on April 9th, 2011. Rosemary was born in Hull, England on April 26th, 1927. She joined the Royal Navy when she was 18 years old and served honourably until her marriage to Roy on April 2nd, 1949.

Rosemary and Roy immigrated to St. Albert, Alberta in 1973 where they lived until retiring to Lantzville in 1989. It was here Roy and Rosemary spent many happy years with their final move being to Nanaimo Seniors Village in 2008. Roy and Rosemary were both members of the Nanaimo British Club.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Nanaimo Seniors Village for the wonderful care, kindness and support to Rosemary and the family.

A Celebration of Rosemary's life will be held on Friday, January 5th, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at First Memorial Funeral Services - 1720 Bowen Road, Nanaimo.
