Rose Yim Moy Leung passed away peacefully in her sleep, at home on January 31, 2020.
Born Yim Moy Jung in southern China in 1931, she immigrated to Canada in her late teens. She married Cyril Leung in 1952. They made their lifelong home in Courtenay where they raised their children, Robert, Barbara and Richard.
Many may remember Rose with her quiet charm working in Leung's Grocery (for her brother-in-law Norman) or from her family's business - Rent-All Equipment Centre.
Rose was dedicated to her family, and enjoyed puttering in the garden, her house plants, and baking. She had a quiet life, well lived.
She leaves behind her husband of 68 years - Cyril; their three children; Richard's wife Wendy; grandson Thomas; sister, Karen Jacob and brother, Gordon Jung; and an extended family of many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A service will be held Saturday, February 15, 1pm at Piercy's Mt. Washington Funeral Home, 440 England Avenue, Courtenay.
