On September 4, 2019, Rose passed away peacefully with her children at her side. She was predeceased by her husband Bill, sister & brother-in-law Amy & Bill Curtiss; brother & sister in-law Bob & Betty Babb; and beloved son-in-law Darwood Dobie.
Rose is survived by her children Dennis (Barb) Bourne; Diane Dobie; Jim (Cindy) Bourne. 6 granchildren: Jennifer, Blake (Gord), Michelle (Tabani), Donald, Tyler, Cameron (Chanthy) and great grand-daughter Rose as well as many nieces & nephews and lifelong friends. She will be missed by all but celebrated always for a life well lived. We would like to thank Dr. Pienaar & Dr. Towers and all the nurses and staff in the Palliative Care Unit at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital for the respect and kindness they showed our Mother in her final days.
A celebration of life will take place at the Lantzville Legion on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 257 in Rose's name.
