It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rosalie on December 17th at the Comox Valley Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Rosalie and her husband moved to the Comox Valley in 1990 after selling their printing business in Mississauga Ontario and purchased a property in Royston BC. In 1993 opened Eagle Gem & Gifts in Courtenay and she was there to meet and greet both new and established customers until May of 2017 when the store was sold to new owners.

Rosalie was born on January 29th, 1943 in Lindsay Ontario to William and Norma Norton. She was predeceased by her parents as well as a sister, Peggy (Les) Miner and a son William Henry Robbins.

She is survived by her husband Ross, daughters; April (Larry), Rose's stepson David (Yvonne) and Tammy, brothers; Carl (Mary) and Winston and her sister Alice (Ron) MacAskill plus numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A special thanks to the Comox Valley Hospital cancer clinic staff and all the nurses and doctors that provided compassionate care on a daily basis. Thank you to our many friends that enquired about Rosalie and in particular friends Garry and Susan for their frequent hospital visits.

There will be no service by request and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
