It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and wife, Rosalee Blanche (nee Coulombe) Erickson, at the age of 80 years old after a courageous battle with cancer.
Rosalee was predeceased by her sister Germaine (September 20, 1994) and daughter Barbara Anne Paddle (Ken) (June 8, 2003). She is survived by her husband Alex, her daughter Patricia (Ralph), her son Wayne (Tammy), sister Charlotte, brothers Ken (Sylvia) and Eugene (Evelyn) and 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Rosalee was born on December 18, 1940 in South Makwa Saskatchewan. When Alex and Rosalee met in Salmon Arm 65 years ago, it would become a love to last a lifetime, and were married in January 1957.
They moved to Cowichan Valley in 1958 to settle down and raise their family. Rosalee would go hunting and fishing, which she loved to do, to help provide for her family. Her gardens were her pride and joy, and this led to getting her a dream job working at Riverside Nursery and later at Dinters.
She was also an active member of the Eagles since 1978. After retirement Rosalee and Alex would spend winters in Mexico and summers at camping at Campbell Lake with many friends. She was loved by family and will be greatly missed by all.
Rosalee will be forever remembered by everyone whose lives she has touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Condolences may be offered at www.telfordtoneffboyd.ca
