It is with great sadness we announce the passing of a wonderful husband, father, father-in-law, brother, great grandfather, grandfather, uncle and friend. Ron peacefully slipped away on Tuesday morning, September 10, while in the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria where he had been undergoing cancer treatment.
Predeceased by his parents Stanley and Grace, brother Doug and sister Carol, former spouse Christobel and son-in-law Robert.
Ron is survived by his loving life long partner Phyllis, brother Brian (Lucie), sisters Linda and Eleanor (Clive), sons Chuck (Josie), Michael (Mary-Anne), daughter Judy, step-daughter Stephanie (Trent), grandchildren Derek (Juditte), Meg (Gene), Kirsten, Stefanie, Charlotte and Sierra, great grandchildren Russell, Brendan, James and Isabelle as well as his very good friend Ken.
Ron started his career with the RCAF in 1952 as a Pilot Officer and retired as a Major in 1989. He had numerous postings during his career.
Ron was a long standing member at the Comox Golf Club where he enjoyed spending his time golfing and sharing stories with his buddies.
At his request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Comox Golf Club in Ron's name.
