August 1, 1940 - February 15, 2022
Regretfully, Ron passed away at Cowichan Lodge in Duncan. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Leonie Reeves.
Survived by his wife Louanne, his sister Janice and her children Anthony and Michele (Rob, Cleo, Abbey and Odin).
Ron started his career with the Forest Service in 1961 as a Survey Asst. in Victoria. From there he worked as Assistant Ranger in Ranger Districts throughout the Forest District. In 1967/68 Ron attended the Advanced Class at the F.S. training school.
Upon graduating he worked as Deputy Ranger in Harrison Hot Springs and Sayward. in 1971 Ron accepted the position of Forestry Operations Supervisor in Vancouver. In 1974 Ron became Ranger in Alexis Creek in the newly created Cariboo Forest Region.
Ron was Ranger in Alexis Creek for 5 years and in 1979 he was named the District Manager of the Chilcotin Forest District. For 14 years he managed the Chilcotin Forest District before returning to the Vancouver Region having accepted the District Manager position in Duncan.
After more than 34 years with the Ministry of Forests, Ron retired in 1995.
