It's with heavy hearts to announce that Ron Riske passed away February 25, 2019 at Discovery Harbour Care Centre in Campbell River at the age of 88.

Ron is sadly missed by his wife Marge, daughter Roni-Anne (Tony) and his grandkids Tianna and Jayce.

Ron was a faller for Canfor and worked in Vernon Camp, Woss, and Nimpkish for more than 35 years. He loved being a faller and had many stories that grew in size like the trees he felled. Ron loved gold panning, driving the back roads and having tailgate picnics, fossil hunting and waiting for Marge to come back from walking on the beach.

There was never a time when a Western wasn't on the TV. Ron is reunited with Aura, his beloved cat, and is feeding her treats for a trick right now. Ron spent the past year in hospital and at Discovery Harbour Care Centre always optimistic that he would return home, "he had things to do".

Thank you to the care aids and nurses at Discovery Harbour Care Centre for providing him comfort and care during his final days. Thank you to Dr. Meckin and Dr. Tinmouth for years of medical care. No service upon request.
