Robert John Stephen

Stephen, Robert John was born in Watrous, Saskatchewan July 14, 1953. He is predeceased by his beloved Mother- Monica, Father- Ian and two siblings Butch and Marilyn Stephen.
Robert leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Shelley Stephen. And children Nicole (Steve), Ryan (Stacey) and Amy (James). He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren. Robert grew up in Kitsilano on W 14th. He occasionally went to Kits high school.
Robert and Shelley married in 1979 and had both Nicole and Ryan within 2 years.They settled in Campbell River in 1981, where they lived until present. Robert ran JJ's pub before joining Ryan's Vending and then eventually working in construction. Robert's real passion in life was hockey. He played, coached and lived it.
Robert was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2009 and never fully recovered. He fought a long hard battle and in the end he fought hardest to care for Shelley who had early onset Alzheimers. Dad gave up his fight early morning August 27th.
We will be celebrating Robert on October 23 in the Painters Lodge Tyee Pub in Campbell River, 2-6pm.
