Quietly in the early morning hours on November 28th Robert passed away after a short battle with cancer with his wife of 47 years, Janet, by his side.

Robert was a kind and loving man and will be sadly missed by his wife, Janet, and children; Graham (Jackie), Shaun (Erin) and Myrna (Adam) and three grandchildren Lily, Hailey and Linden, and sister Karen (Roger), Tassann.

Robert was born in St. Joseph's Hospital in Comox, BC to parents John and Elsie Crockett. Robert attended Tsolum School and graduated in 1968 from Courtenay Highschool. He then went on to BCIT graduating in Survey Technology.

His first years of land surveying were spent in Prince George, where he and Janet were married. In 1973 they returned to the Comox Valley and began building their log home and developing their property on Hardy Road, which now operates as Fir Ridge Farm. This is where Robert and Janet raised their three wonderful children Graham, Shaun and Myrna.

Robert continued land surveying with Gordon Wagner and McElhanney's until 1987 when he began Crockett's Tractor Service. It has grown into a successful business where he worked alongside his son Shaun.

Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, building projects, gardening, reading, cows, horses, dogs, tractors, haying, cutting wood, going for walks, camping and exploring BC's backcountry.

Robert was predeceased by his father John, mother Elsie and younger sister, Laura.

Robert was a quiet man of integrity, gentleness and love. You are forever in our hearts dear Robert.

We will be having a Celebration of Life, to be held on Saturday, December 9th at 1:00 PM at the Grantham Hall.
