Passed away peacefully on January 15th 2018, surrounded by his loving family.

He leaves behind his loving wife Sandi, children Shelley, Chris (Aisha), grandchildren- Kyla, Sidney, Andrew, Trayden, and Mila. Who will greatly miss him. Sisters- Carole, Marilyn, nieces and nephews.

Bob was born and raised in Vancouver, he worked for the city of Vancouver for 20 years as well as a part time employee at the famous Commodore Ballroom as doorman security.  Bob met and married Sandi in 1967 and raised two beautiful children. He moved his family to Denman Island in 1980; to embark on a new journey. With help of friends he learned the craft of building a home for him, and his family on their hobby farm. He was a logger (firewood), sailor, fisherman and loved the outdoors.

He loved taking his granddaughter (Kyla) down to Fillongley park to teach her the reins of carting with her pony Dallas. He cheered from many sidelines as he loved watching his son and his teammates play rugby.

Bob was employed by BC Ferries (Denman island) for 15 years as a deckhand and oiler with many great memories. In his retirement he enjoyed many trips to Mexico where he made everlasting friendships. Bob had a stroke in 2009 while in mexico; he struggled many years afterwards but fortunately had a loving and supportive family and friends by his side.

Special thanks to Dr. Sue Hunter, nurses and staff at the Comox Valley Senior Village for their love and compassion towards Bob. To Lucca (Therapy dog) you sure put a smile on Bob's face! To Graeme Isbister for your spiritual guidance.
