Robert "Bob" Bright

March 18, 2019

Bob passed on peacefully on March 18th after spending his last three days in Trillium Hospice where he received kind and compassionate care.

He was born in Sunderland, UK and served in the British Army in WW II from 1943-1946. He landed in Normandy on D. Day 1944 at age 19 and moved on through France, Holland and Belgium. He was in Germany when the war ended, and then his regiment were sent out to Palestine for several months.

Bob was a kind, generous man who would always lend a helping hand. He enjoyed reading, walking, gardening and golf, especially his five holes in one!

He and his wife Sheila had a long happy marriage lasting almost 70 years and are so grateful for the help and support of loving friends and caring neighbours. I would also like to thank the V.I.H.A. Home Support staff for their much appreciated help.

The Celebration of Bob's life will be held at Arrowsmith Golf & Country Club on Friday, May 10th from 2-5 pm.

I look forward to welcoming our friends and neighbours, and golf buddies from "The Geriatric Road Runners".
