Robert Andrew Georgeson

July 5, 1928 - September 20, 2017

Georgeson, Robert Andrew passed away September 20th, 2017 at Dufferin Place, Nanaimo, BC.

Born July 5, 1928 in Victoria, BC, son of Andrew and Bay Georgeson.

Bob has had many very memorable journeys in his lifetime but this last journey through Dementia has been difficult.

There to help him through this long struggle were his wife Earla Georgeson, his 2 surviving sisters Gerry Goldsmith of Victoria and Phyllis Springett of Nanaimo, children Deanna Georgeson, Toronto, and Derrick Georgeson, with wife Suzanne and children Savannah and Marcus of Lantzville, Sheri Boyd and son Clayton Pool also of Nanaimo and Busie Mayzes and husband Al of Victoria and good friends Linda and Brad Griffin.

There are many other family and friends who were dear to Bob also.

Bob was second mate for Black Ball Ferries, Heavy Duty Mechanic, worked with drill companies and as mechanic for the City of Nanaimo.  He travelled widely and as far away as Swaziland.

He loved his home, gardens, hiking, camping and boats.  Most always had a loyal dog and the most recent is Sophie, his little mini Sheltie.

A tea will be held at Moose Hall at 1356 Cranberry Ave, Nanaimo on Saturday, September 30th from 1 to 4.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Special thanks goes to Travellers/Eden Gardens for their Day Break Program and to the staff of Dufferin Place where Bob has been compassionately cared for these past 4 months.
