Robert (Bob) Albert Simpson passed away July 10, 2020 in Calgary, AB.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Judy, daughters Michelle Compton, Alysha (Brian) Brentnell, step-children Dondeena (Shakeel) Islam, Jillian (Steve) Storey & Jordan Wurtz, grandchildren Chelsea & Cortney Compton, Kael & Ethan Brentnell, Becca, Tyler & Jessielyn Storey, Nevaeh & Zayn Islam, great-granddaughter Kynsley Compton & sister Judith Simpson.
Bob spent more than 50 years in the broadcasting business in the roles of Announcer, News, Sports & Farm Director, Programmer, Sales, General Sales Manager, General Manager, Owner & Consultant for radio stations as well as hosting his weekly show "Bobby Be Cool" promoting rock & roll music of the 50's & 60's.
He was a CFL Referee in Regina, SK & loved to fish & golf. Bob was a legend in radio & touched many lives & will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held at a later date in Nanaimo, BC.
