Rita Annie Hurley (nee Brydges) went home to Jesus on April 13, 2021 at age 86. Rita was born to Reta and Orlon Brydges on July 31, 1934 in Edam, Sask.
After high school graduation, she taught for a year at Myrtle school near St. Walburg, then earned her RN and worked as an Indian Health Nurse.
Rita met her husband in 1961 in Campbell River, BC and they were married July 18, 1962.
Rita is predeceased by her siblings Frankie, Betty, and Dale, as well as her grandson Mark.
She is survived by her husband Robert; her siblings, Neville, Dorothy, Ted, Darlene, Wanda, and Byron; her children, Dawn (Murray), Linda (Peter), Sandra (Greg), Heather (Ryan); her grandchildren, Bryan, Rachel, Lisa, Amy, Bradley, Natasha, Jake, Raylene, Luke, Josh, Miranda, Vanessa, Micah, Rebekah, Marshal, and Chantal; and four great grandchildren.
