Born in Humboldt Saskatchewan where she was raised with 2 brothers and 6 sisters. She married in 1948 to Bill (William) Sedar in Chilliwack B.C. then moved to Vancouver B.C. They had 3 children. Keith, Patti and Laureen.
She passed away peacefully on Nov 14 2022 at Stanford Place in Parksville B.C.
She is survived by children, Keith (Shelley) Sedar, Patti (Bill) Rogers, Laureen (Darrell Ekelund) Wilfling, 5 grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer, Karleigh, Cristi, Kimberley, 6 great grandchildren and last surviving sister, Bertha Pavlik. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Bill. They were married for 68 years.
Rita will always be remembered as the hard working woman who made sure the house was always clean, the buns, cookies and pies always plentiful, the canning shelves stocked with pickles, cherries, peaches and the door always open with a place set at the table for you.
Rita loved to play cards . Bridge was a favorite. She was a great sewer, knitter and loved to play the organ.
She was a long time member of the C.W.L at All Saints Parish in Coquitlam where her funeral will be held.
She will be greatly missed by us all.
