On January 1, 2021 Richard Hohmann passed away at the age of 90 after a brief illness. Richard is predeceased by his loving wife of 46 years; Irmgard Hohmann (nee Rutsch), his parents Anna and Franz, his sister Maria, and his brother Josef. He is survived by his two loving sons Peter and Edgar; their wives Rosie and Yoko respectively, his grandson Kenton, his partner Benita, Benita's daughter Arlene, his brother Paul, his sister Elisabeth and several cousins, nieces, nephews and relatives in Canada, and Germany primarily.
Richard was born in Wissels, Germany on July 6, 1930 and after more than 60 years in Canada he still felt a deep connection to his roots there and loved to keep up to date with family members in Germany on a regular basis. Aside from working in the sawmill industry for over 30 years; mostly as a carrier and forklift driver, Richard enjoyed a good cognac, playing cards, telling jokes and travelling. He will be lovingly missed by all.
