Richard was loved by so many people for his honest friendships, generosity and kind heart. Anyone that met him will always remember him as a kind and gentle presence who was always smiling. Our dad taught us how to love, we were and are so blessed to have had both dad and mom teach us to be the people we are today, we couldn't have asked for more. He will be forever missed by many.
May you rest in peace dad and may you forever know how much you were loved. We know that mom was patiently waiting for you, so you could reunite and start your love story all over again.
At Richards request, no service will be held.
The family wishes to thank those who cared for him at the Nanaimo Regional Hospital Emergency and Palliative care unit. Also, those doctors that cared for dad over the years, Dr. King, Dr. Yee and Dr. Miller. We would also like to thank all of his wonderful neighbours that always took the time to chat with dad on his daily drives and for the support and compassion that we have experienced in past few weeks.
