Chris Wood passed away peacefully with his family at his side in the Nanaimo Regional Hospital. He leaves his loving wife, Anita, his daughter Fiona (Victor Therrien) and grandchildren Spencer, Camryn and Luc.
Born in Edinburgh, Chris worked in telecommunications, first for the British Diplomatic Service and later in South Africa before moving with his family to Parksville in 1977. After retiring from Teleglobe Canada he and Anita enjoyed many winters in Palm Desert and other sunny destinations. Playing soccer and lawn bowling were sports that Chris loved and played
in Parksville.
Known as a kind and gentle man who could also write a very witty poem, Chris will be much missed by all who knew him.
