It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father and husband with you. Ric passed away March 19th, 2021, in hospital after a long battle with illness complicated by the stroke he had suffered two years prior.
He was born in Quadra Island right by the ocean and enjoyed his time as a fisherman for many years. But dad enjoyed many things in life, one of which was dancing. You could find him and his wife at the dance hall most Fridays, (pre-covid), strutting their stuff on the dance floor.
The thing that most of us will miss the most about him are his stories. Dad was an awesome storyteller... and would often reminisce about his travels around the world, or the many different jobs that he had.
He leaves behind his wife, Jeannie, his children, Tom, Andrew, Jennifer, Robert, and Robyn... grandchildren and great grandchildren... and many, many friends.
I may not have known you long dad, but I know you were the best thing to happen to this family. Love you.
