It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father. Our dad passed away peacefully after a long illness, with loved ones by his side.
Reg was born in Glacé Bay, NS and left home in his late teens to follow in his dads footsteps as a coal miner in Grande Cache, AB. Reg moved to Nanaimo in 1983, and began work in the sawmill industry. He took great pride in working with the IWA union, always fighting for people's rights. In 2010 Reg took work as a city bus driver, where he remained until he took ill. Reg was predeceased by his parents Mary and Daniel Krewenki, his sister Verna and his in-laws Peter and Renee Thomas. He is survived by his two sons Daniel and Dustin Krewenki, his two brothers Rod and Daniel Krewenki the Thomas family and many nieces and nephews. Reg will be remembered for his big heart, crazy sense of humour and his eagerness to help people.
We would like to thank his close friends Dave, Linda, Glen, Leone and Gregor and his neighbours Branko, Milena and Mike for being there for Reg through his illness. A special thank you to Dr.Shaw at NRGH ER.
There will not be a service due to Covid restrictions. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Avalon Sexual Assault Centre 1526 Dresden Row, suite 401, Halifax, NS B3J 3K3
