Raymond Dexter Andrews, 71, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2019 in Nanaimo, BC. He will be lovingly remembered and profoundly missed by his beloved wife of 50 years Sandy

Andrews and his family. Ray is survived by his wife Sandy Andrews, daughter,

Tiffaney Andrews (Cory Halverson), son Robin Andrews, grandchildren Kay, Abby, Eve and Ula, mother, Muriel Andrews, siblings Heather and Sharon and large extended family of nephews and nieces.

Ray was predeceased by his father Andrew "Andy" Andrews on March 23, 2018 and his brother Brian David Andrews on March 9, 2018

Ray was born August 13th, 1947 to his parents Andy Andrews and Muriel Andrews. Along with his sisters Sharon and Heather and brother Brian, Ray grew up on Shavers Bench in Trail, BC where he was close to nature. He developed a life-long passion for the outdoors and eventually introduced his love for skiing, fishing, berry picking, gardening and long camping trips to his family. He loved the sciences and kept himself well-informed by reading daily, often for many hours. If he wasn't working on growing the family business or making family and friends laugh, he was reading about some new technology or the latest planet or black hole discovery.

After leaving Trail, Ray moved to Williams Lake and met his wife Sandy and they married on March 29, 1969. In 1971 Ray and Sandy had their daughter Tiffaney and by 1973 their son Robin, and from then on the family did everything together.

Our family would like to thank the amazing staff at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital for everything they did. Ray was a fun-loving, kind and gentle man. He was very well-liked and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. He liked to keep things quiet and at his request, no services will be held.
