Phyliss was born in Victoria, BC to Thomas and Lottie Holding and passed away at Yuculta Lodge, Campbell River, with her daughter and granddaughter by her side.

Phyliss graduated from Victoria High and went on to Practical Nursing.  She was a member of the Anglican Women's Auxilliary at St. Savior's Church for 62 years and volunteered at the George Road Hospital for over 20 years.  She enjoyed boling, gardening, playing cards and knitting and sewing for her grandchildren who she cherished.  Mom made many true friends throughout her life and was loved by all who knew her.

In 2003 Phyliss moved to Campbell River to live with her daughter.  They did many things together including a trip to Montreal to visit her brother Pete whom she hadn't seen for many years.  Due to failing health Phyliss moved to Yuculta Lodge in 2014.

Phyliss is predeceased by her first husband Stan Hulford in 1980 and her second husband Frank Nicholls in 2002, grandson Toby in 1975 and five brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her three children, Gordon (Judyth) Hulford of Nanaimo, Vera (Hugh) Anderson of Port Alberni and Elaine Hulford of Campbell River plus many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as her little dog Muffet.

I would like to thank the staff at Yuculta for loving and caring for Mom, to Georgia and the Auxiliary and volunteers who made fun and adventures for the residents, to Martin for helping at bingo and everyone else who touched mom's life.

A very special thank you to cousin Kelly Bertrand for always being an advocate for Mom, for all the manicures you gave her and for being there when I needed you.  And to Nicole Monds who was there for Gramma to the end.

Mom was loved and will be missed by all of us.
