It is with heavy hearts the family of Phillip Stephens announces his passing on June 11, 2019 at Yucalta Lodge in Campbell River.
Predeceased by his mother May and sisters Vy and Verna. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Carol; sons Wayne, Rick (Shawn), and Mark (Rebecca); grandchildren Micheal (Victoria) and Allan; great grandchildren Keegan, MacAvoy, Lily, Rayna, Saul, and Aubrey.
Phillip was a paratrooper in Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry. He also worked at the Elk Falls Mill for 35 years.
Phillip was a friendly and funny guy, who loved to chat and make jokes. He adored his grandchildren and had a family and friends Christmas Eve skate every year for 35 years. In his leisure, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, hockey and baseball.
Flowers gratefully declined. Donations to the SPCA would be greatly appreciated. A special thank you is extended to the Yucalta Hospice for their compassion and excellent care.
