1931-2021 ~ Peter passed away peacefully on Monday morning, March 1st, 2021 in Palliative Care at Dufferin Place after a long struggle with dementia and prostate cancer.
Peter is predeceased by Hazel his loving wife of 61 years in 2013.
He was also predeceased by siblings Tony, Joe, Nick and Katie. He will sadly be missed by his children Wayne (Sandra), Sherry, Dale, Lynnette (Rod), Diana (Richard), his 5 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren and sister Sophie Enns.
Peter's strong and unwavering faith in the Lord guided and gave comfort to him and Hazel throughout their lives and in raising their family. Both volunteered in their church and community and were always there to minister to those seeking guidance. Peter served as an Elder of the church and he also played saxophone for the congregational hymns in praise to the Lord.
Peter would often give help as a plumber to those in need free of charge. The family is forever grateful to have been raised by such loving, caring and selfless parents who cherished having the entire family together for gatherings.
Peter touched many lives and it gives the family comfort knowing he is in his forever home with the Lord and his beloved wife. An Interment and Celebration of Life will be held with immediate family at a later date. Dad lived for his family, and his love of the Lord. His Bible was, his two edged sword.
He was kind and gentle, to everyone he met. He was the type of guy, you wouldn't forget. Now you're in heaven, until we see you again Dad. We will miss you dearly, and try not to be sad. We love you, rest in peace.
