Peter passed September 1, 2022, at his home in Comox, B.C.
Born in Czechoslovakia and immigrated to Canada in April 1932.
He was predeceased by his first wife Cynthia (Troop), son Dean and second wife Margaret, his brother Michael, and his sister Mary.
Peter is survived by his sister Helen, her children Alexis (Brad), Charlotte (Melvin), Katherine and Carmen (John), as well as great nieces: Bonnie, Madison, Jennifer, and great nephew: Alex.
When Peter came to Canada he grew up near Baptiste Lake, Alberta and went to a country school called Winding Trail and finished grade 8 at the age of 15.
He then went on and found various jobs with farmers in the area and then moved to Morinville, and worked on a big farm and stayed with the family for a few years before joining the Royal Canadian Air Forces in 1942 and proudly served his country with many postings throughout his career before retiring in Courtenay, B.C as a Master Warrant Officer in 1974.
Peter enjoyed fly fishing when he was younger and after he retired enjoyed RV travelling.
The family extends a warm thank you to the doctors, nurses, support staff, community care services and others that provided comfort and care to Peter.
