In Loving Memory ~
It is with deep sadness the family of Per share his passing after a courageous 8-year battle with Alzheimer's disease.
He leaves behind his ex-wife Judith, his daughter Vivian and his son Duane. His grandchildren Terri (Dan), Taylor (James), Keelan, Riley, and Brody and two great-granddaughters Owyn and Charli. Per was born in Norway to a large family with him being the 2nd youngest of 7 siblings.
He immigrated to Canada in 1973 and spent many years working at Harmac and as a locksmith, prior to that, he travelled the world working on the freighters as a deckhand. He loved hiking and animals having grown up on a farm and animals were always drawn to him.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you and appreciation to the staff at Nanaimo Traveller's Lodge and Eden Gardens for their care and dedication to Per.
No service by request. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Eden Gardens Compassionate Care facility.
