Suddenly on New Year’s morning with his family by his side, Pat went to join his son Dave (June 2016).
He leaves behind his wife Val and his daughter Abigail (Eli) and his one and only precious little granddaughter Kenzie Jean, the light of his life.
He is also survived by his two brothers Larry (Marie) and Ron (Di) and many very special nieces, nephews and friends.
Pat joined the RCMP and his first posting was in Powell River, where he met and married Val. It was there he found his true calling: Being a Dad! He was transferred to Port Alberni in 1978 where he stayed until retirement.
Pat was truly one of a kind. He was such a strong, loyal, kind, and loving man always ready to help anyone, anytime.
He was involved with sports in the valley and coached Junior Baseball with Dave on the team. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing with Archie. Most of all, all of the summer camping trips with the kids and their friends. Together with Abbie, he shared a huge passion for animals.
Following Pat’s wishes, no service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Port Alberni SPCA, 4936 Broughton Street, Port Alberni, BC V9Y 8R6.
We are so sad without you Dad, but you’ve given us so many wonderful memories to hang on to.
Until we meet again
We love you and you will
Be in our hearts forever
