In Loving Memory ~
We are deeply saddened to share the loss of our Dad, Ove Nohr, on September 3, 2022.
Ove was born in Denmark in 1936 and grew up on his family farm. An adventurous spirit, at the age of 19, he hopped on a boat heading for New York City. Later, work brought him to Saskatchewan and eventually Victoria, BC, where he met his bride, Shirley. The couple was overjoyed by the birth of their two sons, George and Robert. The young family moved to Sayward, BC, where they raised their boys, and Ove worked as a welder. When it was time for retirement Ove and Shirley moved to their acreage in Black Creek, BC and enjoyed a quiet country life.
Ove enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially if it was with his boys. An avid reader, he could always be found with a book in his hand. His favourite subject to read was history. He was a kind, gentle soul whom his family will dearly miss.
Ove is predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Shirley, and survived by his son George, wife Tamie and granddaughter Kait, and son Robert, wife Michelle and grandsons Darien, Garson, Corbyn and Rylan.
No service will be held at this time.
