Former Campbell River resident and business owner of Campbell River Restaurant Supplies-Your Kitchen Depot, Oscar Martinez passed away on September 30th, 2018.

A few words from us:

Oscar was one of the kindest people you could ever meet, and he touched the hearts of everybody he knew. He will be sorely missed. We will never forget him because he gave so much to remember. The head of our "family" . He always remembered the little things, a very generous man.

He always made me feel like I was special. He always had the right words to say when I was down. He wasn't just our boss, he was our teacher, our biggest supporter, and a father figure. He made me feel like part of the family right from my very first day. He always made a point of letting us know how much he cared, by a gift, his words or the smile he gave.

This is one of Oscars favorite poems, he has shared this with so many people over the years

What if you slept

And what if

In your sleep

You dreamed

And what if

In your dream

You went to heaven

And there plucked a strange and beautiful flower And what if

When you awoke

You had that flower in your hand

Ah, what then?

-Samuel Taylor Coleridge
