July 18, 1931 - September 24, 2021
It is with sadness the family of Ortwin Otto Karau announce his passing on September 24, 2021 in the Comox Valley Hospital from complications of a stroke.
Otto was born July 18, 1931 and was predeceased by his mother, father and brother in Germany and will be missed by his brother Albert & Sister-in-law Christine, by his wife Anne, his children Coll, John, Frank and Anne Mary as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Otto immigrated to Canada in 1952 from Germany and began his career with CNR where he served for 35 years and after his retirement moved to the Comox Valley to be near his children.
