In Loving Memory ~
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our father, Norman James Henry. He is survived by his children, Melissa (Terry), Caitlin (Doug) and Travis, and his grandchildren Aurora, Caleb and Macy.
A long time Comox Valley resident, Dad was known to most as Jim, and to a select few Jimmy 2-Hammers, a nickname we found greatly entertaining as kids. An avid sportsman, he loved hockey and baseball and spent time playing with local Valley teams, on the ice and the pitchers mound before a knee injury benched him too early. Most will remember him for his years in the construction industry though, a vocation he found great pride in and gained much respect as a no-nonsense, skilled tradesman. We will greatly miss his song writing and history lessons, his stoicism and so many little things that we haven't even begun to realize yet.
It's time to lay down the hammers Dad, rest easy.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his memory, to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. A service will not be held, as per his wishes.
