Norman passed away peacefully with family by his side on April 8, 2025 in Nanaimo, BC. Pre-deceased by his wife Marilyn (2015), son Daryl (2017), parents (Gordon and Elsie), brothers Roger and Dennis.
Lovingly remembered by son Gerald (Diane), daughter Jennifer (Stewart), sister Janice, grandchildren Alaina (Richard), Michelle (Brian), Owen (Kelsey), Colton (Samantha),Mathew and Ava, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Born in N. Vancouver in 1939, Normwas a life-long mariner, spending his entire working career on the water, including time on the Great Lakes with the majority spent on BC's West Coast, which included fish boats, tow boats and many years working for the CPR and BC Ferries. Norm and his wife Marilyn spent many happy years enjoying cruising the Gulf Islands and theWest Coast on their Tollycraft pleasure boat, the "Etta-Mae."The family would like to thank the compassionate and caring staff and volunteers at the NRGH palliative care unit who were there to comfort Norm and his family during his final days.
