November 28, 1938 - April 3, 2020
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norman ( Frenchie ) Edward Morris. Norm is survived by his loving wife Loreen, children - Randy (Morris) Geddes ( Barb ), Dawn ( Morris ) Clark ( Doug ); grandchildren Jessie, Riley, & Hunter. Sister Mickey, including many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his parents & 6 siblings. Norm was born in Montreal to parents Charles and Agnes Morris nee ( Benoit ).
At age 16 Norm ventured West to Alberta to live close to brother Chuck and family. He had a passion for hockey and played goalie in the CAHL for the Lacombe Rockets and Red Deer Rustlers in his younger yrs and enjoyed being an avid member of the Calgary ski club.
Norm dedicated a 30 yr career in sales with Prairie Business Machines in Red Deer AB giving him the opportunity to gain many friendships. He retired in April 2001 and relocated to Nanaimo BC where he further enjoyed his love of golf and became a member of the Nanaimo Golf Course.
His life was about golf, stories and camaraderie amongst his golfing friends. He will be remembered by many for his witty humour and strong personality of how things should be, but deep down he had a heart of gold. We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Dr Gordon, Dr Beerman and all NRGH staff for their loving care of Norm.
