In Loving Memory ~
Words cannot express the sadness in our hearts over the sudden passing of our loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt; Norma Jean. Family by her side she left knowing she was loved.
Predeceased by her parents, David and Mildred Coulthard. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Mark Borgerson (Kathy), daughter, Stacey McAdam (Mike). Grandchildren; James McAdam (Robyn), Dylan Borgerson (Hayley), Brett McAdam, Lauren Gorrill (Tyson), Luke and Selena Borgerson. Great grandchildren; Paige, Jillian, Alice, Jack, Jacob & Zoe.
Brother; Ted Coulthard (Jill) and Sister; Debbie Coulthard. Nieces Nicole and Erin Coulthard.
Born and raised in Nanaimo, BC. Graduating from Nanaimo Senior High in 1961. She worked for the Royal Bank then married and moved to Ladysmith and raised a family. When the kids started school she went back to work, this time for the Caledonian Medical Clinic where she worked for 37 years.
Her hobbies over the years included; bowling, knitting, cross-stitch, traveling and reading. In the early days her highlight memories were annual trips with friends to Hawaii, Galiano and camping at Nanaimo Lakes.
Norma Jean loved any holiday or reason that meant she was going to be with family, she cherished them. Her joy was found in attending family dinners, going on road trips, and travelling with Borgerson/Richmond families, especially to Disneyland and Hawaii, it meant so much to her.
Norma Jean was highly supportive and involved in her children's and grandchildren's activities. Later in life she learned to shop online and was the best gift giver ever! She would put so much love and thought into every gift, card and special occasion. GG's way of making people feel special will be missed.
They say it takes a village.... we are so grateful to everyone who helped mom navigate through everyday life, such as shopping, visits, handymen, gathering the mail, taking to appointments, her coffee gals and special friends. You are our unsung heroes.
To the Paramedic, staff , nurses and Doctors in Duncan and Jubilee hospital thank you for your comfort and care. We are eternally grateful.
If flowers grow in heaven
Lord, then pick a bunch from me
Then place them in my Mothers arms
& Tell her they're from me
Tell her that I love & miss her
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile.
love you mom xoxo
