It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Neil Arthur Nicholson of Nanaimo, BC. Our beloved Neil (dad to his sons and grandpa to his grandchildren and great grandchildren) passed away peacefully with family at his side on May 15, 2022 at the young age of 90 from Covid Pneumonia.
Neil was born in Granby, BC on December 19, 1931 to Bessie and George Nicholson. He attended school in Nanaimo and graduated grade 12. He had a lengthy career of truck driving for Earl Freud Logging; Morgan Brothers Logging; Mayo Lumber and many many years for Reg Dorman Trucking.
On September 3, 1954 he married the love of his life, Frances Winnifred Huddlestone. They resided in Chase River, Neil was still living in the same house prior to his passing. They welcomed sons Brian, Mike and Bruce. And then the adventures began!
Neil was predeceased by both his parents, his wife Frances and his brother Dan. He leaves behind sons Brian, Mike (Joan) and Bruce (Brenda); grandchildren Murray, Erick (Shannon), Ashley (Ryan), Danielle (Vic) and Michele (Colin); great grandchildren Lauren, James, Shayne, Jayda, Lily, Olivia, and Frankie.
We are thankful for many many cherished memories and comforted to know he is reunited with Frances and enjoying her cooking and baking again.
