The family of Natalie Dorothy Edwards (nee Broadland) is sad to announce her passing November 6, 2017.

She is survived by her brother Bob Broadland (Victoria), daughter Cheryl Kreeger (Black Creek), two granddaughters Andrea Kreeger, Cindy Loyst and 7 great grandchildren.

Natalie was born in Vancouver, B.C. in 1925. She excelled in Burnaby North High and one year at UBC before joining the RCAF as a radar technician in Victoria, B.C. until the end of WW2.

After the war, she and her best friend, Val, hitchhiked across North America. She then returned to Vancouver where she taught ballroom dancing which was her great passion (for her entire life). Her dancing leg tapped right up until the end.

She married and had Cheryl but later divorced and moved to Santa Monica, California. She met and married Bob Edwards and she spent the next years in the L.A. area and Phoenix, Arizona.

Natalie suffered a stroke in Phoenix and after Bob's passing, she was brought to Black Creek to live with her daughter. She passed 11 years later at home surrounded by her family.

We would like to thank the amazing care workers who were so good to her and helped keep her at home her last 11 years.

As she would say (even if you were only leaving for a few hours), "Have a nice life."
