Died 27 November 2017, aged 91, after a brief illness. Her unique personality and enthusiasm will be missed by her sister, Eileen and family in the U.K. and many friends in Nanaimo and elsewhere.

Mollie left England as a young woman and made her way to BC., settling in Nanaimo, where she taught Biology at NDSS from 1969 until 1986.

She loved her Departure Bay neighbourhood and Hornby Island cabin.

Mollie's special interests were botany, natural history, stamp collecting, travel - especially to New Zealand and the UK, and all the neighbourhood cats.

A fiercely independent person, she maintained that lifestyle until her final months.

Friends are invited to gather, share stories and remember Mollie on Monday, 18 December from 1 to 4 pm, at the Kin Hut, Departure Bay Beach.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made online or by mail to N.A.L.T  140 Wallace St, Nanaimo.
