In loving memory ~
It is with broken hearts that we share the sudden and tragic passing of our eldest daughter Moe on March 6th, 2022.
She leaves behind her loving parents Kyonosuke and Masako, brother Keitaro, sisters Mai and Koharu; Grandparents Reiko, Yuko and Kenichiro. Also missed by aunties, uncles and cousins all in Japan. She was predeceased by Grandfather Keiya Adachi.
Every child brings the greatest joy to their parents, and she was no exception. And it didn't stop with just us, her life was filled with a desire to make those around her happy.
Moe was born in Winnipeg, where she lived until she was twelve. Days that were filled with warm loving friendships, laying the solid foundation for her life. Then we moved to the Comox Valley where she expanded her relationships with more friends, teachers, and the whole community, reflecting her potential in many ways.
We would like to share Moe's thoughts of herself which she wrote, on an application, a couple years ago:

"The people who know me best would describe me as a leader, and I proudly use these qualities to navigate and conduct myself through my daily life. I love being involved in my school and community; going to high school in a small town opens up the possibility to get to know just about everyone. I would describe myself as a sociable person, so meeting new people who expand my knowledge and capabilities gets me excited.
The people in my life inspire me greatly, and with everything I chose to do, I hope to channel and set forth their best qualities. I have been fortunate enough to have incredibly wise, kind, and creative people in my life; the relationships with them have moulded me into who I am today.
What I am most proud of is my genuine desire to help others: in academics, in sports, or even just through hard times in life. I find it incredibly fulfilling to be able to make a positive impact on somebody's day, and I believe the activities (and the role I play within them), reflect this." -Moe Adachi
We are truly grateful for all the support and love we are receiving through this difficult time. Thank you for carrying us in your hearts.
Please join us as we Celebrate Moe's Life on May 7th, at Filberg Park in Comox from 3pm.
To honour her life and to carry her memories, a memorial bursary will be created in Moe's name, to support hardworking students. Donations already given to our family will go towards this fund.
