April 1, 1944 - March 22, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, and dad, Mirco Vanzo. Dad was predeceased by his parents, Guerrino and Toscana, and his brothers Lino, Giuseppe (Giuseppina), and Dino. He leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Maria. His son Donato (Amanda), daughter Viviana, grandchildren Luca and Ella. Nephew Maurizio, niece Trish (Markus, Christopher, Sarah, Benjamin, Annabelle, and Michael). Also back in Italy, his sister Rina and family.
Dad followed his oldest brother, Joe, out to Canada in 1966 in search of a better life and opportunities. It was here in CR that he worked for many years at the pulp mill, raised his family, and made many lifelong friendships. Dad enjoyed time with his family and friends, as well as the garden he nutured with mom. Not to mention the many friends he enjoyed spending time with while being a longtime member of the Fraternal Oder of Eagles.
We would like to wish Dr. John Penhall a big heartfelt thank you for all the years he cared for dad, there really are no words. As well as all the nurses and staff at the CR hospital, thank you!
