October 13, 1938 - April 22, 2019
It is with great sadness that the Family of Midge Ruttan-Jones (nee-Taylor) announce her passing after her battle with Cancer, surrounded by family on April 22, 2019 at the age of 80. Born in Victoria on October 13, 1938. Her Parents were George and Bernice (Nee Ferguson) Taylor. She married Al Ruttan in 1957 and moved to Sooke after buying a one room shack on Otter Point Rd. Slowly the family grew and so did the shack.
She was predeceased by her husband Al Ruttan, son Danny Ruttan, grandson Clayton Ruttan, brothers, Bruce and Roy Taylor. She will be forever remembered by her children Lee-Ann (Kelvin), Scott, Randy, Vincent and Julie-Ann. And missed by her grandchildren Stephanne, Dennis, Brian, Hailee, Alexis, Suzzane and Sylvia and many great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank her Doctor Tracy Forsberg for being there for her whenever she needed you. Thank you to Beacon Homecare support, Sooke Hospice and to the Staff at Ayre Manor for caring for her brief stay there. We would also like the thank the Care Funeral Service in Sooke for your kind and thoughtful service. A celebration of Life will be held on June 8 2019, 1pm at the Sooke Legion in the downstairs lounge.
