The family of David are sad to announce the sudden passing of our beloved son and brother.
Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia he grew up traveling with the family following their RCN father. David spent his early childhood years in England, where he began his schooling.
In 1966 the family moved to Victoria, Colwood. David went to Colwood Elementary until 1972 when the family moved back to Halifax Nova Scotia. David lived here until 1977 when he moved alone to Duncan, B.C. to live with his Grandmother. It was Duncan that David love to call his home. David settled in Edmonton for the past 20 years, working in the oil patch in various trades for various oil companies His dream was to return to Duncan to be close to family and friends.
He was also an accomplished carpenter and fisherman. David's favorite job of all times was working as a fishing guide out of Tofino and Zeballos. He was an accomplished team player. He played hockey, baseball, football, soccer, kickboxing and downhill skiing. He also loved hunting and Nascar Sundays with Lucky's and the gang.
We will all miss our family reunions. We all loved listening to David's stories which were always entertaining and got better each time they were told. Dave lived life to the fullest. He loved his family and friends, he actually really enjoyed people. He had many friends of all cultures and ages.
Predeceased by his father Matthew Rowen Leeming, his Grandfather Matthew Leeming of England, and Grandmother Hilda Hook of England and Grandparents Rose and Louie Williams of Duncan. He leaves behind to mourn, his beloved Stephanie, mother Edith Leeming (nee Williams) his siblings Sandra (Stephen), Jacquie (Dave), Richard, his nephews, nieces, grandnephew and grandnieces.
We will have a celebration of life for Dave after this "Covid" period is over.
