January 12, 1933 - December 2, 2019
On December 2, 2019 Maryon (Auntie) left this earthly plane surrounded by the enduring love of her family.
Born in New Westminster, B.C., Maryon grew up in S. Burnaby with her fondest memories being of time spent on the water enjoying their family boat built by her father.
She was a teacher, coach, mentor, lover of sports and admired by many of her students. Maryon was a champion ten pin bowler (B.C. Bowling Hall of Fame), master seamstress, Historian, avid gardener, lover of animals and instrumental in the B.C. Country Music Association.
Maryon was beautifully unique, courageous, talented and creative with a brave zest for life.
Predeceased by her loving parents Vera and Walter Lewis, Maryon leaves behind her twin sisters Shirley Beckman and Dianne Lister, her niece Tammy Beckman/Ross, her nephew Dean (Debbie) Beckman, Kelly (Allen) Rempell and family, her beloved great nieces Stephanie (Mike) O'Neill and Sierra Ross, her angels Austin and Brantley O'Neill, soul family Verna, Wayne, Trish and many more friends and family who loved her.
Great thanks to all the staff and volunteers at Hospice, Evergreen Seniors home, Yuculta Lodge and to Dr. Bell and Dr. Farias for their loving care.
A Celebration of Maryon's Life will be held on February 8, 2020, 1:30 pm at the Centre for Spiritual Living 516 S. Dogwood St, Campbell River, B.C. In lieu of flowers please make any donations to the C.R. Hospice Society.
